The event is run to raise money for local charities and the charity this year is Wrexham Prostate Cancer Support Group.

In 2023 the show raised for charity £9,253,43 in just half a day with a torrential rain storm closing the event earlier than planned, it therefore represented donations of £4,626 being presented to Welsh Air Ambulance and the RNLI.

Since 1990 the show has raised £111,585.60 for local charities. This has been achieved through enthusiasts bringing and displaying their classic vehicles and the support given by volunteers running the event.
